If we compare 2017, 2018 and the beginning of 2019, we can observe a rapid increase in its use by private households - almost 100% (compared with 2017).

Oleksandra Gumeniuk, director of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency, told about this at UATV studio.

"It has a short payback period, compared with other types of energy sources. There is also a tendency now for demand for wind power, - she said. - Unfortunately, there are not very high indicators in bioenergy, biomass, biogas. There is a need for additional stimulation here. "

Also, the director of the agency said that Ukrainian "green" energy markets are interesting for other countries.

Yes, Turkey, Belgium, Canada, Norway, Austria and other countries are investing in the development of "green" energy in Ukraine today.

"This is an excellent indicator for other foreign companies," said the expert. - Yes, there are risks. For example, technical ones, since Ukraine's energy system itself already requires modernization and additional investment. Nonetheless, we are on the path to energy independence. In addition, since 2023 it is expected that Ukraine will be able to export and import electricity. And it will also provide new opportunities for enterprises in the energy sector."
