Ukraine joins the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

In December 2017 was adopted the Law of Ukraine About Ukraine's accession to the Statute of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

In this Statute the term "renewable energy" means all forms of energy that are derived from renewable environmentally sound way and that, inter alia, include:

1) bioenergy;

2) geothermal energy;

3) hydroelectric power;

4) ocean energy, including, inter alia, energy ebbs and tides, wave energy and ocean thermal energy;

5) solar energy, and

6) wind energy.

Speaking as a center of excellence for technologies using renewable energy and acting as coordinator and initiator, which provides sharing of experience in practical applications and recommendations that support in matters relating to renewable energy and helps countries to benefit from the efficient development and transfer of knowledge and technology.
