The decentralization process in district heating system in Ukraine needs to be stopped – expert opinion

quotation marksEuropean-Ukrainian Energy Agency opposes decentralization process in the area of district heating in Ukraine. This position was stated during press-conference by Dave Young, Chairman of EUEA Board.

“Ukraine is in the active stage of decentralization process of district heating. In our opinion, this is not the best solution in the context of the whole country, therefore such actions have be stopped. Individual gas boilers which are often installed in homes, are restricting their owners – they are dependent on gas and can not use alternative fuels that can be cheaper “- said Dave Young.
