This way the event gave a great overview of the different regulations of renewable energy sector in the particular countries. Wolfram Rehbock, member of the board, spoke on behalf of EUEA about conditions and legal framework for solar power in Ukraine.

The challenges for solar power development are everywhere almost the same. It’s about tariffs or quotas, about changing legal environment, grid access, network expansion, land issues, management of volatile energy generation, storage solutions etc. Although there is no clear leader among the countries, the solar industry is, after “solarizing” Germany and Italy, much focused on markets like USA, South Africa, Asia and Turkey. Ukraine is still flying under the radar. All participants were quite aware of “special” conditions for business in Ukraine and seem to wait for better times here.
