It is clear that a new way forward must be marked.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the factors contributing to the current energy situation include: skyrocketing oil prices, the nuclear crisis in Japan, political instability in the natural gas rich MENA region, BP\u2019s oil leak, and controversial extraction of shale gas in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>With all of this in mind, renewable energy remains the primary answer to our growing energy crisis. It is the answer to our future for clean energy and energy security. But, the necessity to drive capital in to the market is a dominating factor that needs to be addressed.<\/p>\n<p>Government decisions to retract on policy commitments have left investors struggling to find their feet in an unstable market. To restore confidence in the sector, it is necessary to create a sustainable, responsible, and reliable way to push the market forward for the financial community.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its 13th anniversary year, the Renewable Energy Finance Forum &#8211;
