{"id":16937,"date":"2012-11-26T14:05:28","date_gmt":"2012-11-26T12:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/english-category\/news\/euea-latest-accomplishments\/investors-conference-multi-talent-biogas-a-chance-for-ukraine-and-its-european-integration-took-place-in-kyiv\/"},"modified":"2012-11-26T14:05:28","modified_gmt":"2012-11-26T12:05:28","slug":"investors-conference-multi-talent-biogas-a-chance-for-ukraine-and-its-european-integration-took-place-in-kyiv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/en\/news\/euea-latest-accomplishments\/investors-conference-multi-talent-biogas-a-chance-for-ukraine-and-its-european-integration-took-place-in-kyiv\/","title":{"rendered":"Investors\u2019 conference \u201cMulti-talent biogas \u2013 a chance for Ukraine and its European integration\u201d took place in Kyiv"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-15350\"  alt=\"events calendar\" src=\"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/events_calendar.jpg\" height=\"140\" width=\"140\" \/>On November 22, the Ukraine Bioenergy Association together with the German Biogas Association Biogasrat+eV, European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) and law firm &#8220;Arzinger&#8221; held, in Kiev, the conference &#8220;<em><strong>Biogas &#8211; a chance for the energy independence and its European integration<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this event was to make an overview of the potential prospects, barriers, practical aspects to promote biogas technology in Ukraine, increase energy independence and promote Ukraine&#8217;s European integration.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was attended by over one hundred participants including Sergiy Dubovyk (Deputy Chairman of the State Agency of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine), Victor Tymoshchuk (Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine) and Leonid Kozachenko (President NGO &#8220;Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation&#8221;), Wolfram Rehbock (partner of Arzinger law firm) and others.<\/p>\n<p>Special attention was devoted to discussing the latest changes in the Ukrainian legislation, which create barriers for the development and implementation of biomass and biogas projects. In particular, the amendments to the <a href=\"http:\/\/w1.c1.rada.gov.ua\/pls\/zweb_n\/webproc4_2?id=&amp;pf3516=10183&amp;skl=7\">Law #10183 &#8220;On electricity market&#8221;<\/a> adopted by Parliament in the second reading, including level of &#8220;green&#8221; tariff for projects of electricity generation from biogas and biomass as well as local content requirements for such projects
