renewable energy and to the challenges of reducing greenhouse gases were on the agenda of a series of meetings organised as part of the EU-funded Clima East Project, which were held on 2-4 July in Brussels.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The event brought together representatives from the European Commission, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), experts from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Environment of the EaP countries as well as other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Clima East is a 4-year project funded by the European Union supporting the ENP East countries and the Russian Federation so that they are better equipped for greenhouse gas emission reductions and better prepared to deal with climate change impacts.<\/p>\n<p>The website of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.climaeast.eu\">Clima
