On September 12-13, 2018, EUEA<\/b> will take part in a meeting of the Energy, Environment and Transport <\/b> <\/b>Working Group<\/b> within the framework of a meeting between representatives of the European Commission and the Civil Society of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Eastern Partnership<\/b> is a strategic initiative aimed at bringing the six eastern neighbors (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) closer to the EU. The Eastern Partnership represents the Eastern Dimension of the European Neighborhood Policy, updated in 2015, which is aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between the EU and its partners.<\/p>\n

From the outset, the Eastern Partnership has been a great way to shape the agenda for cooperation between the EU and its eastern neighbors, creating a solid foundation for sharing experience and best practices in world practice. The Eastern Partnership has launched a new dialogue platform<\/b> at the governmental and expert levels, as well as in the area of \u200b\u200bparliamentary and participative democracy:<\/p>\n

– Parliamentary Assembly of EUROONEST<\/p>\n

– Conference of regional and local authorities of the Eastern Partnership.<\/p>\n

At the meeting of the working group on September 12-13, the following issues will be discussed, in particular:<\/b><\/p>\n

-Effective messaging and communication on Environment and Transport  and Energy;<\/p>\n

-Strengthening institutions and good governance;<\/p>\n

-Economic development and market opportunities;<\/p>\n

-Connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change;<\/p>\n

-Mobility and people-to people contacts;<\/p>\n

-Structural reforms, Financial sector architecture, agriculture and SMEs;<\/p>\n
