Government of Ukraine<\/b><\/p>\n
The text of the Cabinet of Ministers resolution of December 27, 2019 \u2116 1175 “On introducing competitive conditions for stimulating electricity production from alternative energy sources” was published.<\/p>\n
The Government approved the Concept for the Implementation of the State Policy for the Energy Efficiency of Buildings with regard to Increasing the Number of Buildings Near to Zero Energy Consumption and the National Plan for Increasing the Number of Such Buildings. The relevant order was approved on January 29, 2020 at a Government meeting.<\/p>\n
Ministry of Energy<\/b>:<\/p>\n
On January 21, 2020, the Ministry of Energy presented the draft Concept of the Green Energy Transition by 2050.<\/p>\n
The Concept’s defining goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in order to ensure a climate-neutral economy in Ukraine in 2070 in a socially acceptable way.<\/p>\n
European Green Deal<\/b><\/p>\n
The government has set up an interagency working group on climate change mitigation under the European Commission Initiative «European Green Deal». The group was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Oleksiy Honcharuk, initiated the dialogue between Ukraine and European Union on the development of a common roadmap within the framework of the European Green Deal during a meeting in Brussels with Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission on the European Green Deal. Joint press statement following the 6th Association Council meeting between the EU and Ukraine was published.<\/p>\n
NEURC<\/b><\/p>\n
On January 20, 2020, on the NEURC website, the resolution of 14.01.2020 \u2116158 “On Approving the Amendments to the Procedure for Establishing, Reviewing and Terminating the “Green” tariff for Electricity for Business Entities, Electricity Consumers, including Energy Cooperatives, and private households whose generating units generate electricity from RES”, was published, which changes the order in which green tariffs are set.<\/p>\n
State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving<\/b><\/p>\n
Valeriy Bezus won the competition for the post of Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
EBRD<\/b><\/p>\n
The EBRD published it’s operational results in Ukraine: the Bank invested over €1.1 billion through 51 private and public sector projects in Ukraine, making it the second-largest economy for the Bank in terms of investments in 2019. <\/i><\/p>\n
Guaranteed Buyer<\/b><\/p>\n
The Guaranteed Buyer published its December 2019 trading activity data and payout reports: in January according to the schedule; for November 100% payment completed, the level of payment for “green” energy released in December is 56%.<\/p>\n
Davos 2020<\/b><\/p>\n
