At the end of 2019, the installed capacity of electric power facilities producing electric energy from alternative energy sources tripled compared to 2018 and amounts to 6,378.6 MW.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Report notes that the construction and commissioning in 2019 of new electric power facilities producing electric energy from alternative energy sources allowed to increase employment in the energy sector and led to an increase in the number of new jobs. As of 01.01.2020, in the energy sector, associated with the production of electricity from alternative energy sources, 7840 workers were employed.<\/p>\n<p><em>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2ZUHWOs\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/2ZUHWOs<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><u>NEURC developed and approved a draft decision \u201cOn the approval of amendments to the Market Rules\u201d<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Regulator at its meeting of May 27, 2020, developed and approved a draft decision \u201cOn the approval of amendments to the Market Rules\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This draft resolution provides for amendments to the Market Rules in terms of reimbursement of unsold electricity by producers selling at a &#8220;green&#8221; tariff or at auction price, in the case of the dispatcher&#8217;s team to reduce the load and the method of calculating such unsold electricity. The Regulator proposes that such compensation be provided by the transmission system operator, NPC Ukrenergo, through the balancing market mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>The draft resolution has not yet been published on the NEURC website. Last week, May 25-31, the average daily consumption on working days increased by 2.1%, on weekends &#8211; by 1.8%. In general, in May 2020, consumption (according to current data) is 5.8% less than in May 2019. The company partially paid for electricity for 20 days in May. The amount of the advance payment amounted to UAH 150 million. In total, the Guaranteed Buyer paid UAH 220 million for electricity in May. The level of calculation for the current month was 7%.<\/p>\n<p><em>Read more:<\/em> <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2MeWCA1\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/2MeWCA1<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">About Tax Obligations of a Guaranteed Buyer<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On May 23, 2020, amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine entered into force: for the Guaranteed Buyer, the date of occurrence of tax liabilities and the tax credit is now determined by the cash method.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to the amendments to the Tax Code, the service of increasing the share of electricity production from alternative energy sources was subject to VAT upon its provision.
