{"id":22162,"date":"2020-06-09T08:12:20","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T05:12:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/?p=22162"},"modified":"2020-06-09T10:08:38","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T07:08:38","slug":"energy-news-as-of-08-06-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/en\/news\/market-news\/energy-news-as-of-08-06-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Energy news as of 08.06.2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Parliament<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">New members of the Contest Commission for the selection of the Regulator members were elected<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing, and Utilities Services elected Svitlana Golikova, Oleksiy Ryabchyn, and Oleh Prokhorenko as members of the Contest Commission for the selection of members of the NEURC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the discussion of the candidacies, the head of the Committee Andriy Gerus noted that the Presidential Decree on the rotation of the members of the NEURC is expected in the near future, and the creation of a competition commission to elect new members is very important.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Read more:<\/em> <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2UlW283\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/2UlW283<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NEURC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Regulator obliged <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NPC Ukrenergo to monitor transactions in the Bilateral Agreement Market and in the Day-ahead Market (DAM)<\/span> if the System Operator finds that the trader has put up for sale at DAM larger volumes than the total value of electricity already contracted in the Bilateral Agreement Market (taking into account exports and imports), then such a company will be deprived of the opportunity to participate in these market segments (and in the intraday market) for 7 days. The relevant decision was made at a meeting on June 3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Read more:<\/em> <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3dLlKdI\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/3dLlKdI<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ukrenergo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ukrenergo received the right to restrict RES connection to the grids when there is a threat to the operational security<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NPC Ukrenergo received the right to temporarily stop (restrict) the issue of technical conditions for grid connection of electrical installations of renewable energy sources (RES) if the operational security limits of the Integrated Power System (IPS) of Ukraine are reached. The restrictions may stay in force until the technical and market measures are implemented ensuring the adequate and sustainable operation of the power facilities and envisaged in the Generation Adequacy Report approved by the NEURC. The Transmission System Operator should approve the decision on restricting the issue of technical conditions for connection based on its criteria, which will be developed and published on the NPC Ukrenergo\u2019s website in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is stated in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nerc.gov.ua\/?id=51892\">NEURC Resolution No. 1070 dated 3\u00a0June 2020\u00a0<\/a>posted on the Regulator\u2019s website. The document introduced changes to relevant provisions of the Transmission System Code.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/37dSObH\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/37dSObH<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ukrenergo is testing RES Congestion Management System<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">NPC Ukrenergo is introducing the RES Congestion Management System \u2014 the software enabling the automation of generating and issuing the dispatch instructions to\u00a0change\u00a0the current load of RES generation.<\/span><span id=\"more-69996\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">The System allows issuing such instructions simultaneously to a large number of power plants.
