The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for this on June 19, 2020. There is currently no official information on the committee&#8217;s consideration.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/uk\/novyny-ta-podiyi\/dosyagnennya-ta-diyalnist-yeuea\/oglyad-zakonoproyektu-3658-shhodo-vde\/\">An overview of these bills is available on our website at the link.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Law \u21162386 &#8220;On Measures Aimed at Repaying Debts Formed on the Wholesale Electricity Market&#8221;.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The law defines the legal, economic and organizational principles related to the repayment of debts formed on the wholesale electricity market of Ukraine. The purpose of this Law is the full repayment of debts incurred on the wholesale electricity market of Ukraine. Thus, the Law introduces the following mechanisms for debt repayment: &#8211; mutual settlements; &#8211; repayment (write-off) of debt; &#8211; assignment of the right of claim or replacement of the party in the obligation; &#8211; establishment of a target surcharge to the tariff for electricity distribution by local electricity networks to distribution system operators.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rada.gov.ua\/news\/Novyny\/194498.html\">Read more&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Committee on Energy and Utilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>The chairman of the Committee, Andriy Gerus, became a member of the inter-factional parliamentary association &#8220;For the Development of Atomic Energy&#8221;.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating an inter-factional parliamentary association is to protect and defend the interests of the state-owned Energoatom, nuclear power plants and satellite cities of nuclear power plants. This can limit the forced increase in the tariff for electricity transmission services in August-December 2020.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ua.energy\/media\/pres-tsentr\/pres-relizy\/ukrenergo-zaklykaye-yaknajshvydshe-vprovadyty-antykryzovi-zahody-dlya-strymuvannya-rostu-taryfu-na-peredachu\/\">Read more&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guaranteed buyer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>The guaranteed buyer made payments to the renewable generation<\/u><\/p>\n<p>On June 15, 2020, the state-owned company Guaranteed Buyer paid an advance payment for the first decade of the month for electricity generated by producers from RES.<\/p>\n<p>In total, since the beginning of 2020, the Guaranteed Buyer has paid over UAH 6 billion at the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the Guaranteed Buyer did not receive advance payments from Ukrenergo in accordance with the Procedure for Purchase of Electricity at the \u201cGreen\u201d Tariff.
