The survey, which lasted 10 days, involved 37 companies, 7 of which were representatives of the energy efficiency industry, 25 of which were companies in renewable energy and 5 companies operating in both sectors, and almost equally of renewable energy companies representing wind and solar energy. The results of this survey were used in the study of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/euea-energyagency.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/SURVEY.pdf\">JOB CREATION IN THE FIELDS OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY IN UKRAINE.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the polled business operating in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency, 89.2% companies experience some deficit of the qualified personnel. 67.6% respondents (over 50%) rank it rather significant. The rest of the respondents are split into three groups: 10.8% companies in each group rated the current deficit of personnel as significant (30-50%), not very significant (10-30%) and insignificant (less than 10%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Companies employing the \u2018Engineer\/Builder\/EPC\u2019 category reported a very significant deficit of qualified personnel. Meanwhile, approximately half of them labelled as deficient all the professions (positions, professions ), while<br \/>\nanother half do lack designers and service maintenance specialists. Among the equipment manufacturers, 75.0% report to have a very significant deficit of some skilled technicians while the remaining 25% admit their co-deficit of the technicians, electrical engineers and mechanical engineers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Companies that contract at a time with such categories as \u2018Engineer\/Builder\/EPC\u2019 and \u2018Equipment Manufacturer\u2019 (10.8%) report a very significant shortage of the specialists in the field of innovative new technologies. Another 10.8% companies contracting the both directions at once, \u2018Operator\/Investment Company\u2019 and \u2018Engineer\/ Builder \/EPC\u2019 prove a significant deficit of electrical engineers and turbine technicians. 10.8% of companies contracting at a time with three categories \u2018Engineer \/ Builder\/EPC\u2019, \u2018Equipment Manufacturer\u2019 and \u2018Operator\/Investment Company\u2019 report to have a minor deficit of staff . They emphasize that now, after 9 months of uncertainty in the REW field, no deficit of the qualified personnel is reported.\u00a0In fact, there is an abundance of requisite specialists<br \/>\nsince there is a deficit of the facilities that this personnel could build.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Majority (89.2%) of respondents maintain that over the past five years the qualification of employees in Ukraine in the field of renewable energy and\u00a0energy efficiency has improved. The same share of the respondents invests their own funds into the staff training. 13.5% of companies, due to the development of the renewable energy<br \/>\nsector and energy efficiency in Ukraine, recognize an arrival of such new professions as turbine installers, maintenance service engineers, site managers and project managers.\u00a0Another 10.8% said that renewable<br \/>\nenergy in Ukraine is a new industry, but it requires the same professions as conventional energy technologies.
