The purpose of the goal is to \u2018reduce the risks and impacts of climate change\u2019 as assessed in the science of the time, not to achieve a mere objective in terms of a temperature number.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>The most asked question: \u00abHave we already reached the Paris Agreement 1.5\u00b0C limit?\u00a0 Or how close are we?\u00bb<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The simple answer is no. According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/sr15\/\"><span class=\"s2\">IPCC<\/span><\/a>\u00a0we might reach or exceed 1.5\u00b0C warming between 2030 and 2050 if we follow current emissions trends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Paris Agreement, governments committed to keep global warming \u2018well below 2 degrees Celsius\u2019, and \u2018make efforts\u2019 to keep it below 1.5\u00baC. These replaced the previous politically-agreed target of 2\u00baC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/eciu.net\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/a> research we would like to show you the difference between a 1.5\u00b0C and 2\u00b0C (have a look at the Infographics).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, EUEA promotes increasing the share of clean renewable energy use and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">EUEA is a strong industry association that unites well-known international and national Ukrainian investors with a total investment of over 3.5 billion Euros in renewable energy in Ukraine for the construction of over 2.7 GW of power plants from renewable sources, using the sun, wind and biomass.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">EUEA is an independent non-profit organization open to all stakeholders in the Ukrainian Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy (RE) sectors who want to work constructively with like-minded members to contribute to the gainful and transparent development of these markets in Ukraine, through the promotion of fair and sustainable business practice, raising of public awareness of energy issues, and by
