On October 8, EUEA took part in a high-level discussion “Ukraine’s Renewable Energy Readiness for the Challenges of the Future” chaired by Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko and Deputy Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Dirk Buschle.<\/p>\n

The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects and challenges of the development of renewable energy in Ukraine. Among the issues considered – the transition from the model of “green tariff” to the model of Feed-in Premium (contracts for difference), reforming the energy market for the integration of RES, the development of flexibility of energy systems and energy storage systems and more.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by representatives of the European Union, World Bank Ukraine, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), USAID Ukraine, SAEE, “NPC “Ukrenergo”, as well as joint associations of the RES sector – UWEA, UARE, SEAU.<\/div>\n
