As of November 1, 2021, we have &#8211; 9.5 GW of constructed clean energy generating capacities, including domestic SPP, which, incidentally, is more than 1 GW.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The share of RES in the overall generation structure of the IPS of Ukraine in October 2021 was 9.8%, while the lowest figure in 2021 was 4.5% in January. In general, according to the TSO, in 2020 SPP and WPP together generated 6.8%, and in 2019 &#8211; 3.3% in total electricity production.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">More than 30% is owned by RES companies of international companies from different parts of the world, and another 30% &#8211; small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine. At the same time, the largest consumers of electricity are more than 70% of the population and industry in Ukraine, and these areas have the greatest potential for energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the report, Ms. Gumeniuk spoke about International agreements and events affecting RES and EE in Ukraine and internal strategic documents for 2021: in July 2021 published proposals to regulate Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism in the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>European Union (CBAM), which is planned to launch in transition from January 1, 2023. In October 2021 &#8211; a joint statement following the 23rd Ukraine-European Union Summit. The COP26 took place in November 2021, at which Ukraine joined the signing of such documents as the Climate Pact to reduce carbon emissions by 45% by 2030 compared to 2010 and to zero by 2050; the Global Methane Pledge aimed to reduce the methane emissions by 30% by 2030; the Powering Past Coal Alliance until 2035, etc.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to the issuance of green Eurobonds by NPC Ukrenergo, UAH 16.3 billion of debts were repaid to all participants in the renewable energy market, except DTEK RES. Of the funds raised from the bond issue, another UAH 5.3 billion (almost USD 200 million) remained unpaid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The total debt to RES producers still remains at about UAH 12.3 billion. In 2021, we have two arbitration proceedings against Ukraine and an unfavorable investment climate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the same time, Ukraine needs additional investments in the balancing system, in building new capacities that will not come if such turbulence continues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the positive side, the NEURC certified NPC Ukrenergo as the operator of the European-style transmission system in accordance with the recommendations of the Energy Community Secretariat.
