signed agreements that will determine the development of the world for a long time and will determine Ukraine&#8217;s priorities in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Among the main international events and agreements, EUEA highlights:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>July 2021. <\/b>REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL establishing a <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/qanda_21_3661\"><span class=\"s2\">Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)<\/span><\/a> was published.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\"><span class=\"s5\"><b>October 2021<\/b>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.president.gov.ua\/en\/news\/spilna-zayava-za-pidsumkami-23-go-samitu-ukrayina-yevropejsk-71037\"><span class=\"s6\"><b>Joint statement following the 23rd EU-Ukraine Summit.<\/b><\/span><\/a><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>October 2021, <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmu.gov.ua\/news\/druga-faza-spivpraci-z-fondom-e5r-dast-ukrayini-dostup-do-1375-mln-yevro-na-energoefektivni-proekti\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>The agreement on the contribution between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development<\/b><\/span><\/a> regarding Ukraine&#8217;s participation in the Fund was ratified by the Law of Ukraine of October 21, 2021. <b>The E5P fund for Ukraine is EUR 137.5 million,<\/b> which can be used in conjunction with loans from international financial institutions to support investment in energy efficiency projects to upgrade infrastructure, including district heating and public buildings.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>November 2021, <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/ukcop26.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>COP26 summit<\/b><\/span><\/a><b>, documents to which Ukraine has joined:<\/b>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/unfccc.int\/sites\/default\/files\/resource\/cma3_auv_2_cover%20decision.pdf\"><span class=\"s8\"><b>Climate Pact<\/b><\/span><\/a><\/span>,<b> <\/b>signed by delegations from almost 200 countries, where, among other things, the document recognizes the need to reduce global carbon emissions by 45% by 2030 compared to 2010 and to zero &#8211; by 2050.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>Global initiative to reduce methane emissions<\/b> by 2030 by 30%.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>Coalition Powering Past Coal Alliance, <\/b>on the abandonment of coal until 2035.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Ukraine has pledged<b> to end deforestation by 2030.<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Ukraine plans<b> to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>December 2021.<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurointegration.com.ua\/news\/2021\/12\/16\/7131624\/\"><span class=\"s2\"><b> <\/b>The summit of the EU and the EU&#8217;s eastern partners<\/span><\/a> adopted a joint declaration calling for the creation of an &#8220;associated trio&#8221; format for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Strategic
