The Draft Law received the support of 279 MPs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <em>purpose<\/em> of this law is to improve the support for renewable energy production, ensure sustainable growth of the renewable energy sector, and improve the country&#8217;s energy security.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As noted on the website of the VRU Committee on Energy, the <em>main provisions<\/em> of the Law provide for:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>implementation of a system for confirming the origin of electricity produced from renewable sources &#8211; guarantees of origin;<\/li>\n<li>partial change in the mechanism of conducting auctions for the construction of RES generation;<\/li>\n<li>introduction of the possibility of transition of existing producers from the \u00abfeed-in\u00bb tariff to \u00abfeed-in-premium\u00bb;<\/li>\n<li>providing an opportunity to restore damaged RES generation facilities while preserving the \u00abfeed-in\u00bb tariff;<\/li>\n<li>introduction of the possibility of consumer participation in the provision of services on the electricity market through aggregators;<\/li>\n<li>creation of a prosumer mechanism that enables consumers to install generation for their own needs and sell the remaining unused electricity to their supplier;<\/li>\n<li>extention for one year the period during which wind power plants (WPPs) can be built at the \u00abfeed-in\u00bb tariff. This provides an opportunity for investors who, due to the war, were unable to implement wind farm construction projects, to complete the implementation of their projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to the voting the Committee published a comparative table for draft law 9011-d with amendments to the second reading, which can be found at the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/kompek.rada.gov.ua\/uploads\/documents\/30980.pdf\"><u>https:\/\/kompek.rada.gov.ua\/uploads\/documents\/30980.pdf<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EUEA welcomes the efforts of parliamentarians to create favorable conditions for the development of the RES sector.
