Following some feedback received by EUEA, about the letter “regarding the decrease of the Green Tariff related to the production of electricity from solar plants” published on 25.03.2014, we would like to clarify the following points:
– This letter has been initiated and developed by the EUEA Solar Working Group;
– The letter does not propose to keep the Green Tariff for Solar projects as it currently stands, but underlines the necessity to coherently consider all relevant issues when reviewing policies and calls for the broad dialogue between the government and business community;
– EUEA is currently working with its Members and market stakeholders on elaboration of a EUEA position on the Green Tariff in Ukraine, which will create the basis for constructive debate and dialogue with the relevant Government authorities.
EUEA remains an independent non-profit organization open to all stakeholders in the Ukrainian Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy (RE) sectors who want to work constructively to contribute to the gainful and transparent development of these markets in Ukraine, through the promotion of fair and sustainable business practice, raising of public awareness of energy issues, and by influencing government energy policy in that direction.
We appreciate and value any feedback that our Members and partners have for the benefit of sustainable development of Ukraine.
Respectfully,
Board of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency
