On 31 January 2022, the leading associations of the RES sector (SEAU, EUEA, UWEA, and UARE) sent a letter to the chairman of the NEURC  Valeriy Tarasyuk on payments to RES producers for 2021 and revision of the tariff for electricity transmission services.

In particular, industry associations outlined the current state of the abovementioned issues, and insisted on the following:

1. As soon as possible to consider the issues at the meeting and decide on the approval of the NEURC the cost of the service to increase the share of electricity production from alternative energy sources provided by the Guaranteed Buyer during January-December 2021.

2. Initiate the establishment of PJSC “NPC “UKRENERGO” transmission tariff for electricity services for 2022 in an amount sufficient to cover the reasonable costs of fulfilling special responsibilities to ensure the public interest in the functioning of the electricity market.
