EUEA participated to European Village, a joint initiative of the German Ukrainian Development Cooperation (GIZ), the European Union and the City of Kiev

events calendarThe European Village is a thematic park with permanent and temporary exhibitions, featuring eleven “themes” of global development ranging from Ukraine-Europe relations to sport and development.
Eleven dedicated “thematic days” round off the offerings with public debates, student conferences, and practical information sessions.

From 18 to 23 June the theme is “Sustainable Energy”.

EUEA, in collaboration with General Electric (GE), has participated to the Sustainable Energy week by providing several hours of video playback, questionnaires and direct consultation/discussions related to Smart Grids technology, energy efficiency and renewable energies in Ukraine.

Together with the participants we have gone through the various applications and benefits of smart grids, shown what kind of technology is involved, where and how to use it and the vast area of outcome they will generate for the environment and for each one of us.

Moreover we have tested participants’ knowledge about environment, energy, climate change and other similar topics through a fun and interactive questionnaire which will help everyone understand their level of awareness of current energetic and environmental problems as well as learn something new.

EUEA would like to thank GIZ, the European Commission and the City of Kiev for organizing such an event and giving EUEA the possibility to promote, through yet another channel, the values we believe in.
