The European Commission has made two new appointments to help deliver its vision for the continent’s energy future.
Former Slovenian premier Alenka Bratusek is now vice president and commissioner-designate for energy union while Spanish minister Miguel Arias Canete is European commissioner-designate for energy and climate action.
Parliamentary hearings for the new College of Commissioners are expected to commence on the week beginning September 29.
