The head of the State agency of ecological investments Sergey Orlenko, reported that money obtained from the sale of the state carbon quota, part to the Spanish government will be used for implementation of 4 energy saving projects. Among currently discussed projects are the construction of complexes on solid domestic wastes treatment and utilization of dump methane in Crimea, boiler houses for municipal buildings heating in Sumy, wind station in Dnepropetrovsk and biogas plant in Vorzel. Mr. Orlenko specified, that electric power production from biomass and wind energy was planned with the purpose of its sale to GP “Energorynok” according “green” tariff. As it was said, in 2009 Spain bought 3 million units of the set amount at the price of 30 million Euro. Currently it is discussed with Spain the possibility of investments in the frames of joint venture or under the conditions of compensation of the part of the project.
