President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine believes that Ukraine has no effect from participation in the European energy community. In particular, he said that Ukraine was left alone in the situation with Gazprom’s presentation of $7 billion penalties for alleged non-fulfillment of the gas purchase contract. Previously, Viktor Yanukovych added, Ukraine’s opinion on the construction of the South Stream was not heard by the European energy community either.
