NERC approved green tariff for a new 9MW wind farm of Vindkraft Ukraine.
National Commission State Energy Regulation (NERC) has approved a “green tariff” for electricity generated by wind power plant (WPP) “Stavky” of Vindkraft Ukraine (Kherson obl.). New wind farm installed capacity of 9,225 MW consists of three wind turbines by Vestas, which were assembled at the Mykolayev shipyard “Zaliv” and installed at the site by Ukrainian specialists.
Besides Stavky WPP, Vindkraft Ukraine has Novorossiysk WPP operating with installed capacity of 9,225 MW.
The Commission also decided to adjust the installed capacity of another wind project – Botievo WPP (Zaporozhye) owned DTEK Wind Power from 119 MW to 187.57 MW due to installation of additional Vestas turbines.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Sergey Dubovyk reported that the total capacity of power plants using renewable energy sources reached 1.2 GW by the end of 2013, and the production of “green” electricity for the past year amounted to 1.5 billion kW/h.
Ukraine plans to increase the 2020 share of renewable energy in the country’s energy mix to 11%.
