Roundtable on “National Commission for State Energy and Public Utilities Regulation: transparency begins with the formation of the staff”, organised by activists of the legal unit Alternative Civil Movement “PrOposition” (UA) on July 1, 2015.
The event was attended by representatives of relevant energy associations that discussed provisions of the Draft Law on the NERC (UA). Participants agreed that such regulatory authority as NERC positively affect the market and the end user. The task of civil society is to monitor its activities and make the organisation transparent. In order to achieve these goals, first of all, it is needed to ensure its independence, expertise and ability to fair regulation, free from overruling of the president neither financial groups, energy lobbyists, corporations or energy monopolies.
