EUEA has become a member of the Ukrainian side of the EU- Ukraine Civil Society Platform (US CSP) (http://eu-ua-csp.org.ua/). From now on, EUEA is a part of the Working group 5 “Energy, Transport, Environment and Climate Change”. The working groups monitor the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and make recommendations to the Association Council (ministerial level) and the government bodies. The Association Committee and the Parliamentary Committee of the Association carry out regular contacts with representatives of the Civil Society Platform in order to obtain their opinion on the achievement of the objectives of the Agreement.
The Ukrainian side of the Civil Society Platform EU -Ukraine is part of the Ukraine-EU Civil Society Platform, created in accordance with Art. 469-470 of the EU- Ukraine Association Agreement. CSP is composed of representatives of the civil society of Ukraine on the one hand and members of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) on the other.
The platform is one of the four bodies of the Association, along with the Association Council, Association Committee and Parliamentary Committee of the Association. And if the former are represented by the government and parliament, the CSP is set up to ensure the proper role of the public in the process of implementing the Association Agreement.
