newsThe International Energy Agency (IEA) together with the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) and in collaboration with EUEA held a 2-day training session aiming to reinforce the capacity of government and industry stakeholders in Ukraine to identify and implement energy efficiency opportunities across the different sectors of the national economy.

The IEA explained and demonstrated its methodologies and tools for developing indicators that help to prioritise the most relevant and impactful energy efficiency policy measures. Key to this process was the availability of high-quality energy data, as well as sound analytical approaches for assessing and comparing a range of options and scenarios.

The training will draw on the latest IEA research and analysis including recent IEA publications: “Energy Efficiency Indicators: Essentials for Policy Making” and its companion “Energy Efficiency Indicators: Fundamentals on Statistics”.
