An Economic Development Council of Ukraine was established:
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has established an Economic Development Council of Ukraine responsible for developing proposals and specific mechanisms for economic growth, promoting the competitiveness of Ukrainian producers and enterprises.
The Council will be headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The Minister of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture will serve as the Deputy Chairman. It will also comprise academicians, doctors of science, professors, and international experts.
On Friday, April 10, the first inaugural meeting of the Economic Development Council of Ukraine was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. The Prime Minister emphasized that the objective of the Council is to create several strategies: the development of a comprehensive set of rapid measures that the Government could take to work aimed to respond to the pandemic; the steps to take to spur the economy; and a long-term development strategy of Ukraine,”.

Starting Thursday, 16 April 2020, the online talks will feature the Secretariat’s energy experts offering insights into contemporary energy issues, followed by a Q&A session.
