On December 21, 2021, EUEA sent a letter to Valeriy Tarasyuk, Chairman of the NEURC and Volodymyr Kudrytskiy, Chairman of PJSC «NPC «Ukrenergo» on the need to revise the tariff for electricity transmission services of NPC “Ukrenergo” for 2022, approved by the resolution of the NEURC № 2454 from 01.12.2021.

In the letter EUEA stressed that NPC “Ukrenergo” and NEURC have all reasons to revise the transmission tariff of NPC “Ukrenergo” for 2022: “To ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources other than private households” in full, without reducing them by expenditures that should have been provided in the state budget for financial support of SE “Guaranteed Buyer”.

It will be recalled that on December 1, 2021, the Regulator set the tariff for electricity transmission of NPC “Ukrenergo” for 2022 in the amount of UAH 345.64 / MWh, instead of the calculated by TSO of UAH 458.83 / MWh. On December 2, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022, which did not provide financial assistance to the Guaranteed Buyer in the amount of 20% of projected products in 2022, in accordance with Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Alternative Energy Sources”.
