With big pleasure, the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) would like to introduce its new Director – Kateryna Polyakova!

 Under Kateryna’s leadership, the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency is to continue to work on behalf of EUEA member companies and to the benefit of the RES and EE sectors to promote sustainable development in Ukraine according to the best international practices and to rebuild Ukraine’s energy sector after the war.

Prior to joining EUEA Kateryna worked with Ukraine Power Resources, an American-led wind projects developer. Before that, she led a team in a Kyiv-based M&A boutique where she focused on the pharmaceutical and financial sectors. In 2012-2018 she worked in Switzerland as a relationship manager in private banking in a major bank. Prior to obtaining her MBA in 2011, she worked for Bank of Georgia’s investment banking team in Ukraine and later for KBC Securities.

Kateryna holds an MBA degree from INSEAD and BA degree from Dartmouth College, where she majored in economics. She also holds a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Board Director Program from UCGA/INSEAD program.

Kateryna is fluent in English, French and speaks some German.

EUEA is an independent non-profit organization open to all stakeholders in the Ukrainian Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy (RE) sectors who want to work constructively with like-minded members to contribute to the gainful and transparent development of these markets in Ukraine, through the promotion of fair and sustainable business practice, raising of public awareness of energy issues, and by influencing government energy policy.
