On September 12, 2019 Oleksandra Gumeniuk, Director of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA), and Max Lebedev, Board Member of European-Ukrainian Energy Agency, Co-Chair of Solar Energy EUEA Subgroup, Partner of Law Firm GOLAW held a series of strategic meetings with Polish private businesses and governmental organizations, who supports economic cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the field of energy. In particular, with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), which is part of the PFR Group (Polish Development Fund).
Another important meeting for future cooperation was with Ihor Baranetskyi, Ph.D., Counselor, Head of Economic Section Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland, who outlined the main strategic directions of cooperation between the Republic of Poland and Ukraine, in the whole energy sector, including the LNG, pipeline Odesa-Brody, Energomost and the integration of the Ukrainian energy system with the European one, related challenges at the political and economic level.
EUEA representatives were able to inform the participants of the meetings on the business climate in the RES sector, the new RES support system and the development of the energy sector in general, as well as learn about the peculiarities of the electricity market in Poland. Namely, Corporate PPAs are currently being actively developed there.
