On October 4-5, 2012 at the Livadia Palace in Yalta, on the initiative of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea III International Black Sea Economic Forum took place.
This year the forum was attended by First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Sergiy Tigipko, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov, Minister Energy and Coal industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk and others. Crimea at the forum was presented by Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anatoliy Mogilev.
A common theme of the Third International Black Sea Economic Forum was “Enhancing competitiveness of Black Sea region: coordination of actions and joint projects.”

In general, the Forum participants discussed the strategic location of the Black Sea basin, priority areas and opportunities for joint projects as well as issues of energy efficiency, transportation industry and export-import procedures. In addition, the methods of investments attraction in the agricultural sector, increase in the attractiveness and competitiveness of the tourism sector were discussed.
