EUEA was awarded a grant by the UK Embassy for the implementation of the project “Ukraine’s Sustainable Energy Future – challenges and opportunities”.
The purpose of the project is to improve the energy perspectives of Ukraine, provide best practices and assess implementation and transposition possibilities of foreign energy policy in Ukraine. Ultimately the project will also strengthen ties between the UK and Ukraine in key areas, such as energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable development.
The project will be carried out over a period of 5 months from November 2013 to March 2014, and will involve several activities, including:
-Policy overview for the UK and Ukraine in the EE and RES sectors
-Organization of a high level roundtable with international experts and official institutions
-Business trip to the UK, relevant visits to British institutions responsible for policy development and implementation, and relationship building for relevant representatives of Ukrainian governmental bodies.
All activities and results will be publicly available through the British Embassy and EUEA websites.
