- Another draft law on delaying the launch of a new electricity market was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The bill was introduced by the People’s Deputies of Ukraine Oleksii Ryabchyn and Yurii Chyzhmar, the proposed date for the introduction of the market is 01.04.2020, the term of postponement will be 9 months.

Earlier this month Parliament members Oleksandr Dombrovsky and Lev Pidlisetskyy registered draft law #10318 dated May 22, 2019 on the postpone of the start of the new electricity market for 3 months and to give authority to NEURC to set price caps during 12 month in different market segments: day-ahead market, intra-day, balancing and market bilateral agreements.

2. Ukraine is going to create energy hubs
The National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC) approved at its meeting a plan of measures to create conditions for the functioning of energy hubs in Ukraine: commodity multilateral trading systems, in which trade of energy products and related financial products will be carried out.
The chairman of the NSSMС Timur Khromaev noted that transparency and competitiveness – the principles laid down in the model – are the only ones that can guarantee fair prices for such important for the economy energy resources. High-quality energy commodity markets are impossible without proper financial infrastructure.

28.05 at 14-00 the meeting will be held of the Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety Committee. It is planned to consider at the meeting the draft law on the postponement of the launch date of the new electricity market.
