On February 3, 2020, the Government gave a green light to the state program “Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%”. This program is designed for creation and expansion of own micro and small businesses at record low interest rate-5,7,9% to the tune of UAH 1.5 million for a term up to 5 years. In 2020, the Government has already allocated UAH 2 billion to the program.
Three possible lending rates will apply – 5%, 7% or 9% – which will depend on the size of the business (up to UAH 25 million in annual revenue or from UAH 25 to 50 million) and its duration (up to 12 months, more than 12 months). Additionally, the lending rate will be reduced by 0.5% per annum for each employee, but not less than up to 5% per annum.
The actual lending will be performed by the partner banks participating in the program.

The Government approved the Concept for the Implementation of the State Policy for the Energy Efficiency of Buildings with regard to Increasing the Number of Buildings Near to Zero Energy Consumption and the National Plan for Increasing the Number of Such Buildings. The relevant order was approved on January 29, 2020 at a Government meeting.

Joint press statement following the 6th Association Council meeting between the EU and Ukraine were published.
Ukraine needs to continue strengthening the rule of law and structural reforms. The Association Council recalled the update of the Annex XXVII of the Association Agreement on energy as well as the necessity of its proper implementation in line with the agreed guidelines.
As part of the European Green Deal, the parties agreed to further cooperate on decarbonisation and environmental protection. The parties agreed on the need for ambitious climate and environmental policies, including to meet the commitments under the Paris Agreement.

Guaranteed Buyer:
The Guaranteed Buyer continues to pay for 2019: the final payment for November amounted to UAH 420 million, the total payments under the green tariff for November 2019 reached UAH 2.2 billion.
Also, payments for December have been continued – UAH 500 million have been transferred to electricity producers under the “green” tariff, i.e. the level of payment for “green” energy released in December is 56%.
