EUEA received an official letter from NEFCO (Nordic Environment Finance Corporation) in which the international financial institution expressed its disappointment with Ukraine’s energy policy regarding the following issues:
– retroactive reduction of the Feed-in-tariff for already approved projects;
– non-fulfillment of payment obligations by the Guaranteed Buyer to clean energy producers;
-introduction of excise tax on electricity from RES.
NEFCO has therefore decided to stop investing in new projects in the renewable energy sector in Ukraine until a predictable and sustainable framework is in place and agreements are being honored by the Ukrainian government.
