Yesterday, October 7, the EUEA Round Table: “Smarter Finances: How Green Buildings Can Help Overcome Energy Poverty in Ukraine” was held.
In particular, Oleksandra Gumeniuk, EUEA Director, reviewed the European project “Smarter Finance for Families” and the main elements of green financing of housing “Residential Green Finance”, as well as presented the results of a survey on the combination of two government initiatives “Affordable Mortgage” and “European Green Deal» conducted by EUEA.
Valentyna Huch-Denysenko, Energy Efficiency Expert of the Reform Support Office at the Ministry of Community and Territory Development of Ukraine, reported on the state of affairs with the development and approval of building standards with nearly zero consumption.
Building Modelling and Green Certification Specialist, in іC consulenten Ukraine – Iryna Sukhodub told about the green certification of buildings and why banks need it.
At the end of the webinar, Andriy Hapon, Executive Director of the Business Development Fund presented the conditions, results and changes that are planned to be introduced in the state program “Affordable Mortgage 7%”.
We agreed to work together with government and business representatives, as well as relevant stakeholders to promote and interest in the initiative to implement “green” incentive instruments in Ukraine.
