Experts consider it impossible to enforce the law on compulsory bioethanol adding to gasoline at a level of not less than 5 % since 2014.
“At present there is no single act, which would allow implementing the required 5% bioethanol adding to gasoline in 2014,” – said Sergei Kuyun, Director at A-95 Consulting. He believes that the main problem is that Ukraine can produce only 25 % of the necessary quantity of bioethanol.
Maximum capacity of the Ukrainian bioethanol producers is 131 thousand tons per year, and in the case of mandatory 5 % bioethanol adding to gasoline demand of the market will be 300 tons” – said Andrew Pasyshnyk, the B2G Director, West Oil Group.
