newsIn 2013, Ukraine will celebrate the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) for the third time and Zhytomyr has been selected to host the opening ceremony on June24 at the Gagarin Park in Zhytomyr. As a countrywide initiative, the EUSEW will embrace topical activities, seminars, exhibitions, press-tours and workshops in different Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Luhansk, Mykolayiv, Yaremche, Rzyshchiv, Stryi, Hola Prystan, and Osiy village.

Background Information

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is an initiative of the European Union which was launched in 2006 and designed to spread best practices, inspire new ideas and build alliances to move toward the efficient use of clean energy. This year Ukraine will participate in the EUSEW for the third time with official oppening ceremony to be held in Zhytomyr on June 24. The EUSEW events will be conducted throughout Ukraine from June 24 till June 28.
